Foundation of the University of Lucerne |
2020–2025
Strategy. Development. Impact.
Together with the board of trustees, I further developed the Foundation of the University of Lucerne both strategically and operationally, established an advisory board, and helped shape the university-wide positioning “Moving Human Sciences.” Targeted fundraising efforts secured over CHF 12 million in third-party funding and enabled the launch of a new faculty for behavioral sciences and psychology – along with several other future-oriented projects.

2023–2024
Theory. Best Practices. Vision.
I co-initiated and built the executive course Family Office & Strategic Philanthropy at the University of Lucerne with Dr. Dr. Elisa Bortoluzzi Dubach and Prof. Dr. iur. Swen Bäuml. The course equips high-net-worth individuals, family officers, and advisors with practical tools to apply strategic philanthropy effectively. As program director, I guided participants through all modules – from family governance to impact investing.

2011–2020
Fostering research. Building trust.
As Managing Director of the foundation for the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich, I had the privilege of working alongside Foundation President Prof. Ernst Fehr to foster excellence and bring together people who believe in the societal value of research. We established international research centers, an active alumni network, and a dedicated advisory board. Fundraising efforts resulted in over CHF 150 million in contributions – including a landmark partnership with UBS – reflecting strong confidence in research that offers more than knowledge: orientation.

The Charles Darwin Foundation is committed to protecting and studying the unique biodiversity of the Galápagos Islands. In 2009, I supported the foundation’s fundraising and branding efforts – a challenging yet deeply meaningful assignment that allowed me to contribute to preserving one of the world’s most valuable ecosystems.

Brand leadership. Sponsoring. Communication.
In various leadership roles, I helped shape the brand strategy and communication of Orange Switzerland – from strategic planning to national campaigns and sponsorship formats. Key milestones included developing OrangeCinema and launching the brand platform together we can do more. Several projects received national and international recognition.
